Exhibition presenting a series of experiments approaching the sense of the weather. 2024
by Maria Michailidou and Ulla Eriksen
The Sky And Other Days examines how we perceive atmospheric phenomena in everyday life, and how it is a common small-talk theme between strangers. It investigates how impossible it is to imagine sunshine on a rainy day, and how easily we forgive the weather as soon as it pleases us. The public character of the KIOSK is used as a meeting point that encourages dialogue. A space where everyday conversations can evolve into a sharing of concerns and ways of thinking about the future.
In the KIOSK works of various nature and materials are presented. Personal observations meet common knowledge. In a light-minded way, thoughts are transformed into works that originate from registrations as well as encountered experiences of the weather.
